Privacy Policy (Bright Data Program)
This page describes privacy information for the optional Bright Data program in NTFSTool. For the general NTFSTool privacy policy, see Privacy Policy.
As a condition for using certain premium features of NTFSTool, you may choose to be a peer on the Bright Data network. By doing so, you agree to the Bright SDK EULA and the Bright Data Privacy Policy.
1. Program Availability and Consent
This program is optional. It may be offered as one of the choices during activation/plan selection (for example, after a limited free trial). It requires your explicit opt-in consent before it can run. If you do not opt in, the program will not be enabled.
This program may only be enabled by individuals that are at least 16 years old and at least the legal age allowed for by the applicable jurisdiction.
2. Personal Files and Disk Contents
This program is not intended to access your personal files or disk contents. NTFSTool does not grant the program permission to read your disks’ file data as part of the program’s purpose.
However, as with any software, information you voluntarily provide (for example, logs you send to support) may contain environment-specific details such as volume names or paths.
3. Support for Open Source: Bright Data SDK
To support NTFSTool as a free, high-performance open-source utility, we may provide an optional program that integrates the Bright Data SDK.
How it Works (Opt-in Only)
- Your participation is voluntary and requires explicit opt-in.
- If enabled, your device may occasionally act as a secure gateway for network tasks.
- If enabled, the SDK may use your free device resources, including CPU computation power, GPU computation power, and network bandwidth when the device is idle or otherwise in a manner that will not materially impact user experience or performance of other running applications.
- If enabled, your IP address may be used as part of the Bright Data network.
- The SDK is designed not to access your personal files or disk contents.
- It may utilize network resources in a controlled manner.
FAQ Disclosure
You may receive an ad-free experience or free features. In exchange, you may securely share some of your device resources in a way that will not materially impact user experience or performance of other running applications. You can disable this feature in the app settings at any time. For more information, please see our Installation Agreement and the SDK privacy policy (https://bright-sdk.com/privacy-policy).
4. Information Processed for Program Operation
If you opt in, information may be processed to operate the program and to ensure safety, quality, compliance, and accounting. This may include:
- Network and connection metadata (for example, IP address, timestamps, session identifiers).
- Device and software identifiers needed for program operation (for example, app version, OS version, and opt-in status flags).
- Program usage and performance data (for example, resource usage counters and error/diagnostic signals).
5. User Control and Opt-Out
- You can withdraw consent at any time in NTFSTool by going to Settings and turning off the related toggle (for example, Settings → “Support Open Source” / “Resource Sharing”, if present).
- Once disabled, the program is intended to stop using your device resources for this purpose.
